Engine 1

1982 Spartan/FTI pumper, 1000 gpm/500 gallon pumper. Typically serves
as draft or supply on fires, and can also run as backup on EMS or rescue
calls. Carries 1500' of 5" hose, EMS equipment, full engine company
equipment, plus a generator and scene lighting, and a gasoline powered PPV
fan. It also has a 60 gallon foam tank and pre-plumbed foam system. This
unit was obtained as military surplus through the Kansas Forest Service, and
after three months of refurbishment by our members, it had a perfect body
with a new custom "blue" paint job, re-upholstered seats, extended
sides on
the hose bed, a new dunnage compartment on top, a deck gun, Fed Q siren, a
new lighting package, and more. What was an ugly duckling when we got it is
now the most unique firefighting machine in the area.
Station Two

Engine 2
1977 Ford/American 500 gpm/500 gallon front mount pumper, 4 wheel drive,
serves primarily as a Type 3 wildland engine, but also serves as a backup
pumper. Carries 1200' of 5" hose, dual booster reels, one with 350' of
high
pressure 3/4" hose for wildland fires, has full EMS equipment, wildland
equipment, and basic engine company equipment. This unit was obtained as
federal surplus property through the Kansas Forest Service, and equipped and
refurbished in house to make a very reliable wildland/backup engine.
